The very distinctive, sweet, rich flavor of these freshly roasted hazelnuts is revealed through the Fastachi tradition of small-batch roasting.

Roasted filberts are distinctively flavorful nuts with a rich source of dietary fiber, vitamin E, magnesium, and heart-healthy B vitamins. Rich in unsaturated fats (mostly oleic acid) and calcium. Hazelnuts are good for your heart, help reduce the risk of cancer, and aid in muscle, skin, bone, joint, and digestive health.

Hazelnut Fact: They are delicious both raw and roasted. Properly roasting hazelnuts enhances the flavor, without changing the nutritional profile.

Fastachi's hazelnuts have something magical to their taste - call it umami or what you like, but it's much tastier than the flavor of hazelnuts purchased elsewhere. If you're a gianduja fan and wonder how hazelnuts can produce something as sublime and addictive, this high quality nut must be the answer. I routinely ask the Fastachi staff where they source their hazelnuts and they routinely give me conflicting answers: Turkey, Cali, the Pacific Northwest... Nobody really knows, but I wouldn't be surprised if such fine nuts come from some high-prized groves in Piemonte!

These hazelnuts are the best I have ever had! They are lightly roasted without oils and very lightly salted. Honestly, they are delicious. These hazelnuts are such a treat as a snack and wonderful for baking.
