Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Yields: 4 cups

Preparation:

  1. Blend 1 cup of Fastachi roasted hazelnuts in a food processor. (You can also add 3-4 Medjool dates if you like your roasted hazelnut milk to be sweet)

  2. Add the filtered water to the food processor, covering the hazelnuts completely.

  3. Blend on high speed for 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

  4. Place a nut milk bag or a fine-mesh strainer over a large bowl or jug.

  5. Pour the hazelnut mixture into the nut milk bag or strainer, and press to extract as much milk as possible. Discard the remaining hazelnut pulp or save it to make a hazelnut chocolate spread.

  6. If desired, add maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the extracted hazelnut milk. Stir well to combine.

  7. Pour the roasted hazelnut milk into a glass bottle or jar with a tight-fitting lid.

  8. Shake well before using, as natural separation may occur.
